    Writing on the plinth under the plant pot reveals that the fruit on the five orange trees ripened on 4 December 1733 in the orangery at Ulriksdal, and that the largest fruit weighed 40 lod (about 520 g) each. To emphasise this miracle, the artist David von Cöln has added a contrasting background depicting a desolate Nordic landscape with conifers.
