Summary
A colour film which traces a young couple on a day's outing by car to various historic buildings in rural Kent. The colour sequence is bookended by B&W images of a screening of the amateur film in a domestic setting.
Description
Some members of the Sevenoaks Cine Society gather in a front room to watch a film screening. A woman puts the 16mm film onto the projector and the lights are turned off.
"County Magazine". A man picks up his female companion at a village square - they proceed to travel by car to various locations in Kent. Their tour begins in the grounds of Ightham Mote, continuing at those of Penshurst Place. After a quick look at the St John the Baptist Church, the couple enjoy a drink on the patio of The Spotted Dog pub. A visit to an oasthouse is followed by a brief interlude in the village of Chiddingstone. In Hever, the couple visit St Peter's Church and the Castle. The day ends with the feeding of ducks on a village pond before the man returns his travelling companion to the village square.
The film ends back at the living room where "County Magazine" is returned to storage where it will await its next screening.
