About this work

Description

There were two violin-making businesses in Mittenwald, Bavaria: Nuner & Hornsteiner and J.A. Baader. The makers worked in agriculture in the summer and violin-making in the winter, working from home using materials supplied by the company (The graphic, loc. cit.)
