Sur la gauche de cette estampe on voit, un savetier travaillant dans une petite boutique moitié souterraine, moitié à rez de chaussé, et adossée à une maison qui fuit vers la droite dans le fond. Au dessus du toit de la boutique est couché un chien qui dort, et sur la droite de l'estampe un paysan tenant une pipe de la main gauche, semble parler avec le savetier, vis-à-vis du- quel il est assis sur une petite escabelle.
