About this work

Description

The lawyer holds a ticket and points to a screen decorated with a masquerade. Among the entourage are two black servants and a singer. The paintings on the wall include "Lot and his daughters", "Jupiter and Io" after Correggio, a portrait of Silvertongue, and the "Rape of Ganymede" The room is the countess's boudoir. Accompanying the singer is a flautist. The cups contain drinking chocolate
